Hi everyone. It's a beautiful day up in Milwaukee today. I wish I had exciting news to report we were going home, but unfortunately after listening to the doctor's rounds today it seems like the Glenn (the second open heart surgery) might be moved up possibly to next week. This is something that David and I don't feel comfortable with at this time. This is because the surgery is more risky the younger the baby is. We would like to see this surgery performed around 5 months allowing Caden to get bigger and stronger (this is when they normally do this procedure). Once David returns we will have these discussions with doctors so we can feel confident in this upcoming surgery and its success.
As you can see in the picture (from previous ones) he has started to fill out. Caden is just over 10 pounds. Yeah!
Love always -
Melissa
Hey Guys,
ReplyDeleteCaden looks great! I know it's gotta be hard being back at CHW, but you have so many people praying for Caden and both of you. We all love you and really can't wait to meet Caden. Maddy is looking forward to another new playmate:) You guys take care!
Love,
Lindsay, Bryan, & Maddy
God will hold all of your hands threw the next stage. Stay positive and know you have almost the whole world behind you praying and thinking about you daily. He looks like a little chunker in the new photos. Again, he is sooooooooooooo damn CUTE. I can't wait one day to meet, hold, hug and kiss him. I know I will have to wait in line(long) along with everyone else. I will have to knock some people down to get to him but I will do what I need to. LOLO. Prayers and strength being sent from Plainfield. GOD IS GOOD. Love Ya.

I cannot imagine what you are going through. Just remember, you named your little boy Caden for a reason. He is strong and will pull through whatever God sends his way. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
ReplyDeleteKeep the faith!!!
ReplyDeleteWe will continue to pray for you all. God is in control and he will see you through.

Good morning Caden-
ReplyDeleteToday is Friday May 22nd and we have had a beautiful week...hopefully the weekend will bring more of the same. So I think I need to start calling you Bubba...10 lbs huh, nice job!
Please keep improving your eating habits for if they move your surgery up it is very important that you are strong and focused. But I am sure that a little warrior such as you already knows that.
I realized that the other day I mentioned a word; "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" but I never told you the meaning behind it.
This is an English word, {yes it actually is considered a word}, in the song which also happens to be its title, in the musical film, Mary Poppins. The song was written by the Sherman Brothers, and was sung by Julie Andrews and Dick van Dyke.
The word means great, fantastic, and extremely cool. In 1964 the hit Musical; “Mary Poppins” made this word infamous, It was also implied in the movie, that it means "something to say when you don't know what to say".
Have a wonderful day Caden
Hey Caden!
ReplyDeletePut your big smile on your face! Grandma and Grandpa are coming to love on you!

Caden--I just thought you should know that you are on the prayer chain at our church in Des Moines, several thousand people attend services each week and so you and Mom and Dad are getting a few thousand extra prayers this week. Keep up your strength and know that lots of people love you-even before they have met you!
ReplyDeleteHi Guys,
ReplyDeleteCadan looks great. I was so bummed when Jen told me you were back at CHW. At least it is the next best place for him besides H. I am praying for you all and we can't wait to meet him. God is watching over him and there are a whole lot of people who love you and are praying.
Love,
Dawn
