April 13, 2009

Hi - It's Melissa. Caden had a great day feeding today but David and I noticed his saturation levels starting to decrease. Dr. Nancy order a blood test and told us he might be anemic thus needing some blood. However, when they did the bloodwork today they found the levels to be in the normal range. We will find out tomorrow in rounds what the next step will be. I'll give more details on the next post.

Love -
Melissa and David

  3. Second attempt--1st one crashed and burned due to my expertise on the computer.

Caden becomes more beautiful every day--he is absolutely precious! I know Grandma Rita is beside herself getting to see him with his eyes open and looking around. It actually seems as though he is looking right at us from the screen.

I hope that his special parents are beginning to get at least a little rest and can begin the "store up some extra energy" for the coming days. Please do remember to take care of yourselves also.

You are in our thoughts and prayers and
    always in our hearts.

    With love,
    Fred and Mary Ann

  7. HI DAVID AND MELISSA,

I AM JUST SO IN LOVE WITH CADEN ALREADY AND CANNOT WAIT TO MEET HIM! HE LOOKS BIGGER AND STRONGER EVERYDAY! I AM CONSTANTLY TALKING TO MY DAD TO MAKE SURE HE IS WATCHING OVER CADEN! YOU WOULD BE AMUSED AT THE FACT THAT I SEEM TO BE TALKING TO MYSELF! HOWEVER, I KEEP IN CONSTANT CONTACT WITH MY DAD AND I KNOW HE IS THERE FOR YOU BECAUSE I AM A BIT DEMANDING AND INSIST ON HIS GUIDANCE! CANNNOT HELP MYSELF, AFTER ALL I AM A PRESCHOOL TEACHER!

CADEN MARSHALL IS A FIGHTER AND I CANNOT WAIT TO MEET HIM! I KNOW HE WILL REMIND ME OF AUNT CHERYL!

    ALL OF OUR LOVE,
    JOHN AND PAM LAWRENCE

  9. Good Morning Caden-
Today is Wednesday April 15 and there is a bit of an overcast but much warmer than yesterday. I am so glad to hear that you had a great day of eating and keeping all of your food down. Awesome! Continuing from yesterday:
The American league was originally known as the Western League, a minor league organization, which was based in the Great Lakes states. They officially changed the name in 1899,to the American League. The league is often called (the "Junior Circuit") because it was elevated to Major League status in 1901, 25 years after the formation of the National League (the "Senior Circuit").
The American League formally organized with the: Baltimore Orioles, Philadelphia Athletics, Boston Somersets, Washington Nationals, Cleveland Blues, Detroit Tigers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Chicago White Stockings; {Sox}.
Entering their first season as a Major League franchise the White Stockings; {Sox} were the defending champions of the Western League, and it was a clear that in the inaugural season of the American League, the White Stockings; {Sox}, were the team to beat. With a team built around strong pitching the White Sox would go on to finish 83-53, which was good enough for 1st place and the first ever American League Championship. It wasn’t until 1903 when the 2 leagues decided that each champion would play against each other in the World Series, which would consist of each team playing each other in a best of 7 series. I will explain more on that later.
    Have a wonderful day Caden.
