July 10, 2009 - 4 months old

Hi everyone. I wanted to send out a few pics of Caden. He will be 4 months old tomorrow. He is doing great, eating well, and loving his new crib that we just got yesterday. It is one of those convertible cribs that will convert into a toddler bed, then a full size bed so we won't need to buy new furniture as he gets older. We continue to be thankful to have our son home and that he is doing so well. God is good! Thanks for all your prayers and support.

Love,
Melissa

  8. David, Melissa and Caden,
Thank you for posting the pictures and video and keeping all of us up to date. To watch the video is to rejoice in the miracles of God!!!! Caden is so precious. If we did not know all that you have been through, we would not know there were any health concerns. He is a precious gift from the Lord. What a joy to hear his voice and all his baby sounds. We will continue to pray for the Lord to go before you in every way. Bless you and thank you for taking time in your very busy schedules to keep us informed.

    Love,

  14. Good morning Caden-
Today is Saturday July 11th and it is a time for celebration ince you are 4 months old; Happy Birthday!
On this date, back in 1798, President John Adams signed a bill, which officially created the United States Marines Corps. However, November 10th 1775 is the actual birthday of the United States Marine Corp! A committee of the Continental Congress, to institute a new stern unit of the military, called the Continental Marines, created them.
Captain Samuel Nicholas was the first to form two battalions of Continental Marines, in Philadelphia, as a naval infantry.
The Marine Corps are considered by many to be the toughest of the Services in the United States Armed Forces. Since its very beginnings the Marines have been infantry forces that have served aboard Navy vessels. They are the rapid response soldiers of the United States Military. The U.S. Marine Corps have participated in every single conflict since the formation of the United States, beginning with the Revolutionary War, up to and including the current Iraqi War against Terrorism and the Afghanistan War.
Have a wonderful birthday at home Caden

  18. Good Afternoon Caden-
Seeing that everything seems to be running smoothly, Today, on July 15th will be my last post. May I add that it has been an honor to be involved in every step of your journey and I look forward to the day that I will finally get to meet you in person?
Yesterday, the MLB All Star Game was played. Did you know that the day before and the day after this game are the only two calendar days in the year, in which no regular or preseason games in any of the major professional sports leagues are scheduled?
The Major League Baseball All-Star Game, also popularly known as the "Midsummer Classic", is an annual baseball game between players from the National League and the American League, currently selected by a combination of fans, players, coaches, and managers.
The first All-Star Game was held as part of the World’s Fair, right here in Chicago, back in 1933. And since 2003, the pennant winner of the league winning the All-Star Game has been awarded home field advantage for the upcoming World Series. The American League has taken advantage of the format every year since its inception and the National League has yet to be awarded this honor and actually hasn’t won a game since 1996.
Well, last night, at Busch Stadium, would be no different. The American League won yet again with a score of 4-3 which also marks the longest unbeaten streak in All Star history.
Have a wonderful day at home Caden
