While we wait…..

While we are anxiously awaiting to see our boy I found this old picture when Caden was 3 months old.  Although I know we still have a long journey ahead with his restricted diet, lack of movement, lots of tubes, wires, IV's etc….we are reassured with your love, prayers, and encouragement it has helped us get through today.  Thanks to ALL of you who have helped us.  Our family with us today, Greg my old boss who stopped by, nurses from Herma Heart, and of course Suzie who dropped everything to be with Caden post-op.  I honestly kept it together most of the day until I saw Suzie and she told me this.  Suzie….you have no idea how much this means to us.  We realize there are a lot of fears that linger with post operative care but we will take one step at a time.  As I was writing this Mike Materzak (sp)(P.A), Ryan Smith (P.A), and Carla (nurse reporting to us hourly) came by to tell us they also fixed the bump on Caden's chest.  Mike said the metal wire, shaving down the bone, and elminating the last wire will reduce the bump (from his past surgeries) that would catch occasionally on things at home.
