Three Generations of Smith Boys (Cliff, David, and Caden Marshall)
Happy Belated Fathers Day to all you dads out there. Thank you all for the Fathers Day wishes and welcoming me to the club. I truly had a fantastic day. From the time Melissa brought Caden to our bed in the morning to reading to him in the same bed at night before putting him in his room. In the middle of that my parents came buy and let Melissa and I get some stuff done around the house. I was glad my folks came over. It was nice to have three generations of Smith boys together.
Those are some handsome looking men in that picture!
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine what your 1st fathers day was like. We are glad you got to spend it in your HOME and your BED with your precious son. Love the photo, three good looking men. You should be so proud. Hope everyday gets better and better for the smith family. Still love the updates and photos to get my Caden fix. Love ya. Prayers still coming from Plainfield.

ReplyDeleteToday is Tuesday June 23rd and it is a very hot and sunny day!
So I see that you had many visitors this past weekend. How exciting it must have been to finally get to meet all of your Aunts, Uncles, Nieces & Nephews, who have all been patiently waiting for this day to come as well!
Yesterday was the Finals for the US Open, where the unlikelt winner, 29 year old Lucas Glover brought home the cup!
The United States Open Championship, commonly known as the U.S. Open, is the annual open golf tournament of the United States. It is the second of the four major championships in golf. It is staged by the United States Golf Association (USGA) in mid-June, scheduled so that, if there are no weather delays, the final round is played on the third Sunday, which also happens to be Father's Day.
The four "Major" tournaments are considered the most prestigious of all events in men's golf. They are the Masters, which is held in April, the U.S. Open, which is held in June, the British Open - also referred to as the Open Championship, which is held in July and the PGA Championship, which is held in August. The four Majors were originally known as the U.S. Open, U.S. Amateur, British Open and British Amateur. Winning all for Major events in the same year is called a “Grand Slam”! The "Grand Slam" - has been accomplished only once, by Bobby Jones; back in 1930.
Have a wonderful day at home Caden

ReplyDeleteToday is Wednesday June 24th and it is another beautiful summer day. Yes, it is now officially summer and I can't believe that I missed telling you about it.
Summer is one of the four seasons, (spring, summer, fall & winter), and it is the warmest time of year with the longest days.
Summer officially begins on June 21st and ends in August. Most people think that summer starts on Memorial Day, which is at the end of May, and that it ends on Labor Day, which is in September, but that is not the case.
Summer is a time when children of all ages, can turn their thoughts from school test, homework and papers, to the three months of freedom ahead. Summer is a time to forget all of the pressures of life and bask in an oasis of laziness and tranquility.
