Good morning Caden- Today is Tuesday June 16th and I wanted to thank you for sharing the awesome pictures with us. Hey, next time daddy puts you down in his favorite spot leave him a little surprise! I promise he will truly like you for doing that. I am so glad to see that you are finally able to start to experience and feel what it is supposed to be like for a little boy and his family. This is the best news I have ever heard! I can't wait until you are finally all settled in and I can come to visit with you. Another interesting thing that happened on this day, over 100 years ago…116 years to be exact: On June 16th in 1893, a gentleman named Frederick William Rueckheim and his brother Louis, mass produce a mixture of popcorn, molasses, and peanuts and they called it "Candied Popcorn and Peanuts", which they sold at the first Chicago World's Fair, also in 1893. Then in 1896 the brothers devise a way to keep the popcorn kernels separate by adding a small quantity of oil to the mixture. Until this time each batch had to be mixed in a cement-mixer-like drum and it was very difficult to handle as it stuck together in chunks. 3 years later the first lot of Cracker Jacks was produced. It was named by an enthusiastic sampler who remarked, "That's a Cracker, Jack!" Have a wonderful day Caden
How precious is that...and so deserving. Caden is one lucky little boy and vice versa. These pictures are a welcome site. Thank you so much for keeping us up on Caden it is so appreciated. Bruce and Darlene

Good morning Caden- Today is Wednesday June 17th and it looks like we may be getting more rain again! Wow! I can’t believe that I totally forgot to mention that the Cubs and Sox were starting a 3 game series yesterday. Actually, it didn’t matter since the game was cancelled due to the weather. Since interleague play began in 1997, the White Sox and Cubs have routinely played each other six times each year (one three-game series at each stadium). As of the 2008 season, the all time series is tied 33-33. The Cubs-White Sox Rivalry (also known as the The Windy City Showdown, Red Line Rivalry, City Series, Subway Series, Crosstown Series , Crosstown Showdown, or by its most popular name; the Crosstown Classic) refers to a rivalry between two teams that play their home games in the same city. The Chicago Cubs of the National League, play their home games at Wrigley Field, located on the city's North side, while the Chicago White Sox, of the American League, play their home games at U.S. Cellular Field (previously known as Comiskey Park) on the city's South Side. The terms "North Siders" and "South Siders" are synonymous with the respective teams and their fans. The first Crosstown Classic was actually played back in 1906 so the two teams have actually played a total of 72 times where the CWS hold a slight advantage over the Cubs; 37-35). There have been six series sweeps since interleague play began in 1997: four by the Cubs in 1998, 2004, 2007, and 2008, and two by the White Sox in 1999 and 2008. Have a wonderful day at home Caden
