Greetings from Room #312,
It has been a quiet memorial day here at CHW. David and I got to enjoy taking Caden outside for a little walk with Nurse Suzie, and Caden got to meet little HLHS baby Lindsay down the hall. She is recovering from the Glenn which is the surgery Caden will be having soon. We still are working on a date for Caden's second surgery. We have had a few conversations with Dr. Nancy about our concerns with having it so early so we are still in a hold pattern for now. Caden still remains on oxygen and still has his NG in place (which is good because he has been slacking on his feeding). We hope you had a safe and fun memorial day weekend!

ReplyDeleteToday is Wednesday May 26th and there seems to be lot to talk about since I have been unable to write for the past couple of days. Sorry! So, I hear that you had a lot of visitors this past weekend. I'm betting that you had a great time hanging out with all of your Aunts, Uncles, Grandmas and Grandpas. I am sure that they enjoyed getting to spend time with you as well.
Baby Lindsay huh? So how long have you two been sneaking around. I see you have inherited your father’s good taste.
There is also a lot going on in the sports world: in Hockey the Pittsburgh Penguins have advanced and will represent the Eastern Conference in the Stanley Cup Finals. This is the 2nd year in a row that they have made it to the finals. They will now wait to see who they will be facing from the Western Conference. It truly is not looking good for the Blackhawks since they currently trail 3 games to 1. The Detroit Redwings can end it tonight with a win…hopefully that won’t happen and the Blackhawks can pull off 3 straight victories. However the odds are strongly against them, but only time will tell.
In Basketball: The Orlando Magic has shocked the league so far when they defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers last night to lead this series 3 games to 1. In the Western Conference the Lakers and the Nuggets will see who will break their 2-2 tie to take the lead in this best of 7 series. I will be sure to update you on everything.

Looks like Caden is taking after his father and hitting on the girls already. Glad to see you got to go for a walk outside. I am sure it was exciting. Hope you had a great weekend with you family. I am sure Caden was spoiled rotten, as he should be. Prayers from Plainfield. Love Ya.
