The prayers and thoughts from you!

Hi. It's Melissa. I know David and I have been saying this over and over but I truely believe it is you that has helped us get through our first big hurdle. Your love has poured out to us in the form of cards, emails, posts on our blog, hugs, kisses, prayers and visits. Sometimes we are left speechless in the kindness you show each and every day. I wanted to send a special thanks today to my students, staff who made these homemade cards and ecards for us. There have been nights when we are feeling very scared and overwhelmed with emotion and when we do we take out these special notes or get online and read your comments. I have an amazing group of students who I left this semester, and those from past semesters, and those from other classes and teachers. You all are amazing at Grayslake North & Central! I'm at a loss of words so I'm just going to keep it simple - Thank you so much!

  1. I'm so glad the surgery went well. I'm praying for you all day long. May God's smile shine on Caden's recovery. While his little body regains strength, your love for him will sustain his spirit. God Bless you all.

    Hello Caden-
Today is St Patrick’s Day and it is a very beautiful and sunny day...thanks for sharing this day with us! You know, that when you get a bit older, I am sure that your dad would be honored to take you to the South Side Irish Parade!
Well, you made it through a very big hurdle yesterday and words cannot describe how happy I am! You are an amazing little warrior...please keep it up and stay strong! I wanted you to know that the strength and faith that your mom and dad have shown, should be an inspiration to us all! I look forward to meeting you in person, very soon! Have a great day!!!
    I love you!

  5. On St. Patrick's day I thought this was fitting.

    An Irish Prayer
    May God give you...
    For every storm, a rainbow,
    For every tear, a smile,
    For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
    For every problem life sends,
    A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer.

God bless Caden, David and Melissa. You are in our hearts and our prayers.

    Love,
    Kelly Pedersen

  6. Hello!
Y'all don't know me, but I know y'all through Dave's mother. I'm a friend of Sue's, actually I'm her pastor. Our Elders and I were praying for y'all while Melissa was still pregnant with Caden; and now the whole congregation is praying for him and y'all. We join you in rejoicing at the success of Caden's first surgery. Praise the Lord! Take heart in the fact that about 100 people in DuPage County that y'all have never met are praying for Caden, you and your extended families.

    Grace and Peace,
    Rev. Angie Mabry-Nauta

  7. I'm so happy to hear that Caden is doing well. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I read this and thought it was appropriate.

    God is the strength
    of my heart
and my portion forever. Psalms 73:26

May it be a source of inner strenth and comfort to know our loving Lord is always watching over you and that now and always, He's by your side.

    Love,
    Bridget Bishop & Family
